OTA's objective is to assist clients in the assessment, design and implementation of executive incentives that align with the organisation's culture and objectives. Incentives should be designed with consideration of:

  1. The current or proposed executive remuneration strategy;
  2. The industry and competitor market; and
  3. The organisation's future requirements.

OTA's extensive experience enables OTA to provide current best practice while also drawing on the history and evolution of this form of remuneration.

Analysis differs between short- and long-term incentives, and each assignment is tailored to the requirements and size of the organisation, but the following general process is followed in most cases:

  1. OTA reviews all background material regarding the assessment of any current or previous incentives.
  2. The background review is then discussed with the relevant company executives to assess expectations and experience.
  3. OTA then provides a design report outlining the proposed incentive and provides a costing for implementation.
  4. The required approvals to proceed are then obtained, and OTA can assist with remuneration committee and board presentations.
  5. OTA prepares draft implementation and communication documentation to be confirmed with your counsel. OTA will liaise with and assist your counsel, or can provide introductions to counsel familiar with OTA work.
  6. OTA is then available to present the incentive to the relevant employees. This service provides an independent, external assessment and viewpoint for employees.
